Daniel Golle 0f256a0a7a kernel: modules: package OP-TEE and fTPM modules
Add kmod packages to support accessing the fTPM (in-firmware TPM) which
can be implemented in the boot firmware of most modern platforms.

 - kmod-optee: Open Portable Trusted Execution Environment
 - kmod-optee-rng: OP-TEE random number generator client
 - kmod-rtc-optee: OP-TEE real-time clock client
 - kmod-scmi-transport-optee: SCMI OP-TEE transport
 - kmod-tee: Generic Trusted Execution Environment
 - kmod-tee-stmm-efi: EFI variable service Trusted Application
 - kmod-tpm-ftpm-tee: Microsoft fTPM Trusted Application

Using the TPM 2.0 can be useful for various security applications,
such as encrypting on-disk credentials. OP-TEE itself alone is also
useful as it can provide a PKCS#11 token for authentication (eg. to
connect to a VPN) and significantly lower the risk of leaking secrets
used for authentication. Also, on some platforms RNG and RTC can only be
accessed via OP-TEE, and some ARM SystemReady platforms require EFI
variables to be access via a TA.

Add patches to improve support for using 3rd-party DSA switches

Daniel Golle a45ce4c788 mediatek: don't let devfreq power-off the CPU
Fix a long standing bug in the mediatek-cci-devfreq driver which leads
to the driver switching off the CPU power regulator in case of another
resource not being ready in time -- a classic probe-order race condition.

As a work-around it would of course just as well be possible to set the
CPU regulator as 'regulator-always-on' (and not just 'regulator-boot-on'),
but practically all MT7988 devices have copy&pasted the PMIC device tree
hunk which sets only 'regulator-boot-on').

Hence, in order not having to fix all device trees, a proper fix in the
driver is preferred.

Daniel Golle 27568d21d3 kernel: add DSA driver for MaxLinear MxL862xx switches
Backport upstream driver and apply pending downstream patches to
support using the MaxLinear MxL86252 and MxL86282 switches.

The driver supports a native proprietary 8-byte DSA special tag format
(mxl862xx) as well as using an 802.1Q-based DSA tag (mxl862xx-8021q).

All basic bridge, VLAN and LAG operations are supported. A single port
can be used as mirror port. Hardware counters are made available as
ethtool stats or directly serve as interface counters (bytes,
packets).

The switch runs a complex ZephyrOS-based firmware on an integrated
ARC microcontroller, the driver uses the firmware management API over
MDIO to interact with the switch hardware.

Note that the firmware needs to be rather recent (WSP 1.0.78 or later)
to work well with this driver. It can be updated at runtime using devlink.

Daniel Golle b7a2f80740 mediatek: replace downstream TRNGv2 driver
Replace the downstream mtk-rng-v2 driver which was acquires random bytes
from TF-A via SMC. A new approach is needed as TF-A for MT7986 has
changed and now requires to use SMC instead of directly accessing the
TRNG via MMIO. However, we can't know whether we are on old or new TF-A,
many devices (like the BananaPi BPi-R3) allow updating TF-A BL3 in the
field, so it may be of the old or new type, and the RNG driver will have
to figure it out somehow.

This currently means that MT7986 with newer TF-A has broken/non-working
HWRNG in Linux:
root@OpenWrt:~# hexdump -C /dev/hwrng
hexdump: /dev/hwrng: I/O error

Fix this by creating a new combined driver which replaces the previous
mtk-rng-v2 driver, and is able to auto-detect which convention to use
on MT7986.

Daniel GolleandRobert Marko c69beade60 Revert "package: kernel: dtc: Add DTO support"
It looks like commit 6d2f3b1b19 ("package: kernel: dtc: Add DTO support")
added this patch file 9 years ago without it ever being applied anywhere.
Back then there wasn't even a 'dtc' package, but we just used 'dtc' from
the Linux kernel sources.
Nowadays there is package/utils/dtc which is used to build dtc to be used
on the target (*not* a host-build!), and it of course already contains
support for device tree overlays since v1.4.3 from 2017...

Daniel Golle dfce21df96 kernel: net: phy: realtek: replace in-band AN hack
Replace downstream hack for RealTek PHYs with a more clean solution
which could make it upstream.

As SGMII in-band AN is broken on some platforms, or simply expected to
be disabled by default in phy/sgmii mode (ie. on-board PHYs with MDIO
for out-of-band configuration and status), a hack for the RealTek PHY
driver was introduced to unconditionally disable SGMII in-band
autonegotiation.

Meanwhile the kernel has gained a proper interface for PHY and PCS to
report in-band AN capabilities and enable/disable in-band, matching
PHY and PCS capabilities.

Thanks to Bevan Weiss' knowledge about how RealTek PHY SerDes registers
are being handled in RealTek's SDK this can now be greatly improved:
 - report in-band capabilties
 - let phylink set in-band matching PCS and PHY capabilities
 - properly abstracted indirect access of SerDes registers

results in the SerDes mode not being properly setup and disabling
in-band AN leading to a timeout waiting for a busy-bit to clear. Up to
now there has been a crude work-around: resetting the PHY and trying
another time.

The cause has now been found as a wrong access to register PHYCR1 on
MDIO_MMD_VEND1 instead of MDIO_MMD_VEND2 when setting up ALDPS as well
as disabling the MDIO broadcast address 0.

In order to access MDIO_MMD_VEND2 on Clause-22-only busses a custom
.read_mmd and .write_mmd ops are implemented, mapping MDIO_MMD_VEND2 to
paged access as this is required.

Also, as ALDPS by design disables the SerDes PCS of the PHY in case the
link has been down for a while, move enabling ALDPS to the end of the
config_init function to not face problems when configuring the interface
mode and in-band AN.

Daniel Golle a3b2a2e15d generic: mtdsplit: fit: improve detecting external-data FIT
Currently the detection of external-data FIT images works by checking
if the FIT structure is more than 4 kiB. However, for boards with lots
of different DT-overlays and configurations the FIT structure can
exceed 4 kiB which results in the FIT splitter to fail detecting the
rootfs.
Increase the threshold for external-data FIT to 512 kiB as there aren't
any kernel images smaller than that, and FIT structure less than 512 kiB
will always be an external-data FIT.

Daniel Golle 85f27367ea targets: add USES_PM auto-feature
Not all targets support power management, some older or more simple
targets don't have CONFIG_PM set. Allow kernel module packages to
depend on USES_PM to only be available on targets which got
CONFIG_PM=y in their kernel config.

Daniel Golle da4342c6db uboot-mediatek: restore Ethernet PHY drivers
Partially revert commit 332645a610 ("uboot-mediatek: sync with
mtk-openwrt/u-boot 20250711") by dropping unused PHY drivers which come
with large embedded firmware (and are hence inacceptable for upstream)
and restoring our previous version of the Airoha EN8811H driver which is
known to work and load firmware from the eMMC boot1 hardware partition
instead of embedding it in the driver.

In future we may switch to the upstream Airoha EN8811H driver which
allows loading the firmware either from a filesystem or overloading the
en8811h_read_fw() for board which may eg. store that firmware directly
inside a eMMC hardware partition or UBI volume, like the BPi-R3 mini
does.

Daniel Golle 801529f725 targets: add PINCTRL_SUPPORT auto-feature
Not all targets have CONFIG_PINCTRL=y set in their kernel config.
Let's introduce a feature for that so kernel module packages which
select or depend on CONFIG_PINCTRL=y may depend on that, so we can
try to prevent leaking CONFIG_PINCTRL=y also into targets which do
not require it.
