Mieczyslaw NalewajandJonas Jelonek f31b65a870 ledtrig-network: default missing family to WLAN on non-DT LEDs
For LEDs that have no network trigger configuration in Device Tree
(no mode or family properties), net_activate() infers the family
from the LED name or function string. If that inference fails,
the trigger previously returned -EINVAL and refused to activate.

This is too strict for manual activation via sysfs (e.g.
echo "network" > /sys/class/leds/<led>/trigger) on LEDs that
were not declared for the network trigger in DT. In that case
the user expects the trigger to load with sensible defaults.

Change the non-DT activation path to fall back to NET_TRIG_WLAN
instead of failing, while keeping the condition visible via pr_warn().
Device Tree paths with dt_mode or dt_family are left unchanged
and continue to fail on invalid parameters

Mieczyslaw NalewajandJonas Jelonek 85719fe4a3 treewide: strip trailing whitespace where present
Ran a treewide trailing-whitespace cleanup for *.c, *.h, *.dts and *.dtsi.
Only files under target/linux/lantiq/... and target/linux/qualcommax/...
required changes, so the diff is limited to those paths.

Done by executing commands:
find . -type f | grep "\.c$" | xargs sed -i 's/[ \t]\+$//'
find . -type f | grep "\.h$" | xargs sed -i 's/[ \t]\+$//'
find . -type f | grep "\.dts$" | xargs sed -i 's/[ \t]\+$//'

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko e5c7612b16 ramips: ethernet: ralink: refine DSA tag offload handling
DSA copies the driver features to slave device, including offload
capabilities. Once a packet is sent through a DSA slave interface,
according to its features, the kernel does not calculate checksums,
expecting that the HW will fill the gaps. DSA adds the defined DSA
tag and sends the tagged packet through the master device.

Ethertype DSA tags expect the driver to calculate checksum based on the
csum_start/csum_offset. However, mtk_soc_eth does not use that info.
It checks the network header and decides if the HW can manage that
packet, unaware that mac layer now contains an extra DSA tag. When
that tag is the Mediatek CPU tag, offload will work as expected.
When it is an incompatible DSA tag or if DSA is stacking two incompatible
DSA tags, the driver will still count on the HW offload. In this case,
packets go to the network with an incorrect checksum.

Before this change, tag_ops->proto == DSA_TAG_PROTO_MTK was used,
which disabled offload for every non-Mediatek tag, including the
RTL8367S switch's RTL8_4 tag that this fix specifically targets.

Replace the hardcoded whitelist with a blacklist scoped to the
RTL8367S: only disable offload for DSA_TAG_PROTO_RTL8_4. The RTL8_4T
(the trailing-tag variant) is left untouched because its rtl8_4t tagger
already checksums the frame in software before appending the tag.

Tags for other DSA-capable switches are left untouched by this fix
and are not claimed to be offload-safe.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko 7b9483b992 mediatek: ethernet: fix offload with incompatible dsa tag

However, mtk_eth_soc does not use that info.
mtk_eth_soc checks the network header and decides if the HW can manage
that packet, unaware that MAC layer now contains an extra DSA tag. When
that tag is the Mediatek CPU tag, offload will work as expected.
When it is an incompatible DSA tag or if DSA is stacking two incompatible
DSA tags, the driver will still count on the HW offload. In this case,
packets are sent to the network with an incorrect checksum.

This patch adds an extra check that disables offloading only for the
RTL8367S switch's RTL8_4 tag, which is known to break MTK checksum
offload. The RTL8_4T (the trailing-tag variant) is not affected because
its rtl8_4t tagger already checksums the frame in software before appending
the tag, so ip_summed is no longer CHECKSUM_PARTIAL by the time this driver
sees it.

This approach avoids an overly conservative whitelist which would
disable offload for every non-Mediatek tag, regardless of whether
that tag is actually incompatible with MTK checksum offload.

Tags for other DSA-capable switches are left untouched by this fix
and are not claimed to be offload-safe.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko 0a64c7a7b6 ramips: ethernet: ralink: add mediatek,no-swconfig property
Skip swconfig registration and disable MAC learning when the
"mediatek,no-swconfig" property is set. This is needed for MT7620
devices using the internal switch as a transparent bridge to an
external RGMII switch, where ports 0-4 are unused.

The no-swconfig property itself is valid for both DSA and non-DSA
setups. However, disabling MAC learning is only required for DSA,
where multiple CPU-facing interfaces would otherwise cause an
incorrect ARL table to be built. Non-DSA setups work correctly
without disabling MAC learning.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko 2aa1185fb0 leds: add "network" LED trigger (lan/wan/wlan)
LED trigger for network interfaces.

 - Aggregated per-family (lan/wan/wlan).
 - Family and flags are taken from device tree properties:
   - "family" : simple family string "lan" | "wan" | "wlan"
   - "mode" : any combination of "link", "tx", "rx" flags
  Priority/combination:
   * If "mode" present: flags come from "mode" and take precedence.
Family is taken from "family" if present, otherwise from the LED name.
   * If only "family" present: use its family and default flags = link+tx+rx.
   * If neither present: fall back to LED device name parsing.

 - Suffix "-online" is valid ONLY in the LED name (label),
e.g. "green:wlan-online". It indicates the online variant but is applied
only when DT "mode" is absent.

Behaviour:
 - wlan (normal): blink/solid driven by throughput table
 - lan/wan (normal): one-shot blink on TX/RX packet change
 - *-online variants: steady ON while any interface of the family has carrier

 Interfaces are auto-tracked by name match (lan0, wan1, wlan2, phy0, wl1,
 ath0, ra0...). Up to MAX_IFACES (16) interfaces per family

This trigger is intended for board/device authors and drivers to provide simple
network-activity LED behaviour without per-interface wiring in userspace.

Refresh bcm27xx patches in the same commit to account for line shifts in
drivers/leds/trigger/Kconfig and Makefile, ensuring clean applies for
bisectability.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandHauke Mehrtens 110c107460 kernel: modules: netdevices: rtl8365mb: fix mode mask calculation
The RTL8365MB_DIGITAL_INTERFACE_SELECT_MODE_MASK macro was shifting
the 4-bit mask (0xF) by only (_extint % 2) bits instead of
(_extint % 2) * 4. This caused the mask to overlap with the adjacent
nibble when configuring odd-numbered external interfaces, selecting
the wrong bits entirely.

Restore CONFIG_PAGE_BLOCK_MAX_ORDER=10 in malta 6.18 config fragments

Support for Linux 6.18 on malta was added after this OpenWrt change:
https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/ac0cb87a453698efc6c812e4f27cadbeb208f14e.
Before that integration, the kernel option CONFIG_PAGE_BLOCK_MAX_ORDER=10
was provided in target/linux/generic/config-6.18 and applied broadly.
After the malta 6.18 integration the generic fragment no longer supplied
this option for malta targets, which caused some backported code paths
and drivers to assume PAGE_BLOCK_MAX_ORDER was defined and led
to compilation failures.

Replace the deprecated EXTRA_CFLAGS with ccflags-y so that

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko ac9ea1be34 mt76: use hrtimer_setup() in mt76x02u beacon init
Replace the two-step hrtimer initialization pattern with a single
consolidated call to hrtimer_setup().
The legacy approach of calling hrtimer_init() followed by manual
assignment to timer.function is deprecated. The new hrtimer_setup()
helper atomically initializes the timer and assigns the callback
function in one operation, eliminating the race-prone intermediate
state where the timer is initialized but lacks a handler.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko 364be1fd7f mac80211: fix build failure on kernel 6.18
Kernel since version 6.16 defines `SOCKWQ_ASYNC_NOSPACE` and
SOCKWQ_ASYNC_WAITDATA` in the socket_flags enum, which causes redefinition
errors when compiling the backport package[1].
Since kernel 6.12 also has them defined, the test and definition of these
constants have been completely abandoned. Thanks to this, there are
no compilation errors on either kernel 6.12 or 6.18.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko 1934927449 kbuild: extract modules.builtin.modinfo from vmlinux.o
Partially reverse https://web.git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?h=linux-6.18.y&id=39cfd5b12160be4f57df1c3ba60139741c827616
to prevent generation of empty modules.builtin.modinfo and modules.builtin
files that cause modules compilation errors.
If an out-of-tree package or any kernel-install rule ran modprobe xyz while
the build was still in progress, and xyz had been configured =y, a clean tree
would already have xyz listed in modules.builtin; with the empty file produced
by the buggy rule it was missing, so modprobe emitted "module xyz not found"
even though the code was sitting inside the freshly built vmlinux.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko 22ccb445e6 mt7620: workaround jal imm26 and redundant PAGE_ALIGN
On MT7620-class platforms (CONFIG_NET_RALINK_MT7620) we observe sporadic
wrong-jump-targets, kernel oopses, hanging, corrupted backtraces or even
"half-written" instructions when the compiler emits a direct 'jal imm26'
call.
This is triggered in:
  - the small random helpers inside get_random_u32_below(), and
  - the blkcg_maybe_throttle_current() call in resume_user_mode_work().

This patch forces those two call sites to use an indirect call via
a volatile function pointer (load into register + jalr) when building
for MT7620, avoiding embedding a 26-bit immediate jump target.

Additionally, on MT7620 builds the exec path in fs/exec.c is modified:
  - skip arch_align_stack() + PAGE_ALIGN() in setup_arg_pages()
because the micro-randomization (< PAGE_SIZE) implemented by many
ports (including MT7620) is negated immediately by PAGE_ALIGN().
Skipping the redundant PAGE_ALIGN() reduces exposure to the
    problematic code pattern.

These changes are targeted workarounds for MT7620; behavioral logic is unchanged.

Mieczyslaw NalewajandRobert Marko 313d563664 ramips: remove obsolete SPI flash nodes after kernel fix
Remove incomplete SPI flash definitions from affected device tree files.
These fragments only defined address-cells and size-cells without any
actual flash configuration (partitions, compatible string, etc.).

After applying openwrt/openwrt#20942 ("kernel: of: fix bad cell count error
for SPI flash node"), the kernel properly handles SPI flash nodes without
requiring these incomplete definitions in device-specific DTS files.

This cleanup eliminates unnecessary code that was likely a workaround for
the previous kernel issue.

strlcpy() reads the entire source buffer first.
This read may exceed the destination size limit.
This is both inefficient and can lead to linear read
overflows if a source string is not NUL-terminated [1].
In an effort to remove strlcpy() completely [2], replace
strlcpy() here with strscpy().

Direct replacement is safe here since DEV_ASSIGN is only used by
